In Outpatient department of the Institute, approx. 500-700 heart patients daily come for consultation. For this duties are assigned to Senior Heart Specialists and Cardiac Surgeons with MD/MS passed D.M. (cardiology) and M.Ch (CVTS) senior residents where they investigate and provide treatment to the patients. The tests are also performed on the patients coming in OPD as needed. The OPD runs between 8 AM to 4 PM.

• The serious patients having Heart attack are admitted in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Cardiology department. The ICU has 24 beds. The patients are shifted to the cardiac ward after improvement in the patient condition in ICU. The Cardiac Ward has 42 beds.

•  The patients to be operated in CVTS departments are admitted in POP ward. The operation is performed after the necessary tests and fitness of the patient. After Heart surgery they are kept in Surgical ICU for Intensive treatment for 1-2 days. Thereafter they are shifted to HDU ward.  There are 8 beds in Surgical ICU, 6 beds in HDU and 48 beds in POP ward. There are 4 O.T. centers in CVTS department, 1 Vascular Cathlab and 1 Pacemaker Cathlab. The CVTS department is equipped with most modern equipment.
